The Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR) and its partners are bringing together top representatives from politics, business and society to assess the prospects of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel and cargo in inland waterway transport. Interactive panel discussions will help determine the next steps to take with regards to the profession’s activities and the policy framework, giving fresh impetus to the introduction of LNG.
The Symposium will be held at the Maison de la Région Alsace, which has very kindly been made available to us by the Council for the Alsace Region.
The building is only a few minutes from the centre of Strasbourg. It was built to plans by the architects Chaix & Morel and inaugurated in 2005; it meets the latest environmental requirements.
The Maison de la Région Alsace is on the B and E tram routes (“Wacken” stop), with excellent connections to the centre of Strasbourg, its railway station, and its airport
